Technical Requirements
Before commencing this course online, please make sure you are able to meet these minimum software and hardware requirements.
Hardware
- Access to a PC, Mac, tablet, or mobile device.
- Internet access either via modem and phone line or direct network connection (highly recommended to have high speed broadband access). If you do not have a broadband connection, you should expect delays as the content downloads.
- Internet service provider for home access and/or access from work (must have prior to start of the course).
- This course features audio narration (with captions). For optimal results, turn on your computer's external speakers or use headphones.

Screen Resolution and Text Size
For an optimal course viewing experience, we recommend that you set your computer screen resolution to 1024x768 or higher, and adjust the color settings to maximum.
In addition, if you normally increase the text size on your browser windows, you will need to reset your Zoom to 0. For most browsers, resetting can be accomplished by simultaneously holding down Control
and 0
(Command 0
for Mac users). Alternatively, you can go to View
-> Zoom
-> Reset
in your browser menu.
Note that all downloadable files such as course notes are PDFs and the text size can be adjusted using the toolbar on the top of the document.
Login
After registering for this course, you will receive an email containing your user name and password, as well as the URL. This login information is for your personal use only. To access the course, enter the URL into your browser's window. Select the course in which you are enrolled and then enter your user name and password. The next page you will see is the main home page for the course. Here, you will see the module topics with short descriptions.
Course Organization and Suggested Learning Path
This course is divided into modules. Click on any module name to view its content. For an optimal course experience, we recommend that you follow the suggested learning path laid out in the module navigation. However, you are free to visit or revisit any topic at any time during the course, with the exception of the graded examinations at the end of each module, which can be taken only one time.
At the end of each module is a graded exam.
Once you have completed the exam, click Submit all and finish to submit your answers. Alternatively, you can click Return to attempt to return to the exam. Note that you will not receive credit for this exam until you click Submit all and finish.
For security purposes, there will be no answer key available to students who complete the exam. However, students will receive an end of exam score.
