In this lesson, you will learn how to perform basic instrument tie techniques, as well as several useful hand tie techniques. Instrument and hand ties are core surgical skills that every novice surgeon must master in order to become proficient in performing basic surgical procedures. To perform these techniques properly, you will need to understand the steps involved in performing the maneuvers, and you will need to practice them regularly until you can correctly perform them automatically, without consciously thinking about it.
