Preventive Care: An Introduction

Modern preventive care is more than vaccines. Every one of our patients is affected in some way by preventive care. It might be placing a patient on monthly parasite control, feeding an appropriate diet for that patient’s lifestage, performing a dental prophylaxis, recommending an elective surgery, such as an ovariohysterectomy or a gastropexy, or providing follow-up care and rechecks.
